J.S. Herbison has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. She grew up on Vancouver Island and has returned there to roost after some time in Vancouver. She is an unabashed anglophile, a fan of nineteenth century clothing and the gothic and is captivated by the ruined and the derelict.
